I’d like to invite you to go somewhere kind of special with me. I know it’s special.
Years ago, I worked for a children’s theatre company. Our best customers, the people who bought season tickets for their entire family, were given a backstage tour for each of our productions. We’d take them up on the stage after a performance, and they would meet some of the actors, and see some of the props and scenery and costumes up close, and then we’d take them into the rehearsal room for a little craft project for the kids that related to the play. And, with all of that cool stuff, do you know what the most “special”, most “memorable”, coolest part of the tour was? It was when we would show these patrons something that wasn’t in the play! Yes, they loved if we said, “This was the dress that Cinderella was supposed to wear in a certain scene, but we ended up not including that scene in the final production.” Or, “This is the bench that the elf was supposed to sit on, but it was too low, so we built another one.” They absolutely LOVED when they saw something that none of the other audience members would ever get to experience! They felt very special, because they were INSIDERS!
So, in that same spirit, I want to treat you like a true INSIDER here at Collage-Lab. Whether you have been here for quite some time, or are just discovering me today, I invite you to go backstage, behind-the-scenes, or as I like to call it “INSIDE THE LAB” – a look at some (certainly not ALL) of the things that happen at Collage-Lab!
