Here at Collage Lab, I’m always thrilled to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our members, and today, I’m dishing out some big congratulations to Leanne Ziler on publishing her delightful new book, Stick A Bird On It!
Inspired by the creative spark of my 100 Collage Ideas free download (you can grab it HERE) and the techniques she honed in our POD Artistry class, Leanne curated a truly collaborative and playful project. Her “recipe” for collage-making invited over 30 artists to whip up their own mini masterpieces on 2.5” x 3.5” cards, following her unique formula. Participants from around the world added their special touches, creating a rich buffet of styles and approaches to collage.
But Leanne didn’t stop there. She also included “sourdough editions,” where artists could write their own recipes, and she brought them to life in her studio. The results? A truly one-of-a-kind collection that blends creativity, experimentation, and a sense of community.
Several talented members from the Collage Lab community are featured in the book, showcasing how the skills and ideas they’ve learned here can grow into something extraordinary. From snippets of scissors to splatters of paint, Leanne’s project is a reminder that collage is about more than just art—it’s about connection, exploration, and joy.
I couldn’t be prouder of Leanne and all the artists who contributed to Stick A Bird On It! Grab a copy HERE, soak in the inspiration, and maybe even try cooking up a collage of your own. Who knows what magic you might create?
The dedication page really made my day! Thank you, Leanne, for being an amazing part of the Collage-Lab Community!
